Proven impact deserves the capacity to grow.

The Kitzenberg Group helps ambitious nonprofits build the fundraising strategy, systems, and confidence to scale their impact— without losing sight of what made the work matter in the first place.

We believe fundraising is not separate from mission. Done well, it is how more people become part of the mission, and how proven ideas gain the resources to reach further. Our vision is a future in which high-performing nonprofits scale their impact as confidently as they built it, backed by fundraising capacity that matches their ambition.

Built at the intersection of advancement and operations

Elizabeth ‘E’ Kitzenberg founded The Kitzenberg Group after two decades spent inside complex institutions, growing nonprofits, and an entrepreneurial business. Across those settings, she saw the same truth: strategy succeeds only when people, systems, and execution can support it.

The Kitzenberg Group brings those experiences together: the rigor and relationship-building of institutional advancement, the adaptability of entrepreneurial leadership, and the practical understanding required to turn a good plan into a working reality.

Sophisticated expertise, without the generic playbook.

Institutional fundraising experience

We bring deep experience in major gifts, campaigns, advancement leadership, board development, and organizational growth, including seven- and eight-figure donor work.

Entrepreneurial operating discipline

We understand that strategy must coexist with budgets, staffing constraints, competing priorities, and the realities of daily operations.

Technology by design

We integrate practical digital systems and responsible AI use from the beginning, choosing tools that match the organization’s needs and resources.

A true implementation partner

We stay close to the work, helping clients move from decisions to workflows, from workflows to habits, and from habits to durable capacity.

A relationship built around the client

Clear scope and milestones keep every engagement accountable. The approach itself remains responsive to what the organization genuinely needs, which is why many of our strongest client relationships grow into long-term partnerships.

Impact is why we exist.

We built The Kitzenberg Group around a simple belief: nonprofits with proven missions deserve the capacity to grow them. Their work moves communities forward, and we help build the strategy, systems, and support needed to carry that work further.

We only take on work we believe in, because impact is not a metric we track after the fact, it is the reason we show up. Our measure of success isn’t the strategy we deliver, it’s whether a mission actually moved forward because of it. From the engagements we choose, to the way we partner with clients, to the standards we set for ourselves, that core belief shapes everything we do.

Purpose

Impact starts with “why”.

We partner with organizations whose missions matter and keep their purpose at the center of every strategy and decision.

Partnership

Impact we steward together.

We don’t hand off a plan and walk away; we take ownership of our role, work closely with our clients, and remain engaged as strategies move from recommendation to implementation.

Efficiency

Impact built to last.

We create lean, practical systems and use technology with intention, freeing more time, energy, and resources for the mission while building the capacity to carry the work forward.

Results

Impact you can point to.

We measure success through meaningful progress: stronger systems, increased capacity, and organizations better equipped to pursue their goals.
